Authentic vintage U.S. Navy dress blue wool jumper, tagged size 40S. This is a true issued uniform top, not a costume replica, and it has all the classic “crackerjack” details: deep navy blue wool, white triple-stripe trim at the V-neck, square sailor collar, and a chest pocket with anchor-embossed button. Label reads “JUMPER, MAN’S (BLUE, DRESS)” and “Defense Personnel Support Center,” with fiber content 100% wool.
Condition is very good for a service piece. The wool is soft and sturdy. I did not find any holes or stains. There is some lint from storage and a few small pulled threads on one sleeve where it likely caught on something – nothing that impacts wear, but I like to be picky and mention it. No strong odors noted.
Came with a matching pair of U.S. Navy blue wool trousers (size 33R), so if you are building a complete dress blues set, definitely check my closet. Happy to make a deal.
