To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Teddy Bear in 2002, Lenox produced the American Bears as part of their Home for the Holiday line. It featured a cuddly quality plush brown bear with red ribbon around his neck cradling a bear ornament decked out in a red, white and blue vest and spectacles in tribute to Teddy Roosevelt, In the classic Lenox tradition, the ornament is made of fine ivory china, hand painted and accented in 24k gold and is a limited edition from 2002. It has never been removed from the box.
The overall box measures 9" high and 5" wide. While the box has never been open, the plush bear appears to measure approximately 7" or so long and approximately 5" across. The china bear is approximately 3" high and 2 1/2" across. They are in like new condition. Please see pictures for overall condition.
